About Membercare Insurance

Membercare Insurance is the result of both experience and extensive knowledge of health insurance related matters combined with a vision to make health insurances available and affordable for the missionary.

The experience, obviously, 'happened': During the field visits of Kees van der Wilden, in his role with the WEA Mission Commission, met with many missionaries lacking any kind of health insurance. In most cases the reason was lack of funds!
In some cases the absence of a health insurance already had resulted in attrition, the premature return of a missionary to his passport country. This experience triggered Kees to start thinking about the availability of an affordable health insurance for missionaries.

Peter van der Schans is known for his extensive knowledge of health insurances. In his 15 years of experience he has developed a 'sixth sense' for all important matters related to insurances. He knows of the rules and regulations issued by the (Dutch) government, is fully certified and understands the policy-making developments of the insurance companies.
Last but not least he knows of the real needs of the insured which enabled him to develop a balanced insurance product.

But above all, both Peter and Kees have a desire to serve the missionary. 
Their hope is to make an affordable health insurance available, covering the expenses of -obviously needed- medical assistance. That's how Membercare Insurance came into existence.
